When Your Clients Are Awesome should really be the title of this post.  Today, we have the lovely Lauren Pedersen, blogger at Lauren Loves, owner of Elisabeth Ashlie & The Dearly Box, and current Bride of ours (!), taking over our blog and sharing the many ways to accessorize your Bridesmaids.   If you haven’t discovered the adorable Elisabeth Ashlie shop yet, it’s an online boutique featuring handmade jewelry, curated jewels, accessories, paper products, and more (and go read the inspiring story of how Lauren and her sister started their business here!).  Today, Lauren has agreed to take a mini break from planning her own wedding to share her insight on accessorizing Bridesmaids with all of us!  Thank you, Lauren!  We love this post so much!

Accessorizing your bridesmaids is an important part of the overall look and aesthetic of your big day! From picking the dresses and deciding on hairstyles, all the way down to choosing the type of jewelry you’d like them to wear. Coming from experience, I know how overwhelming it can be to decide on bridesmaid dresses! You have to consider the venue, season, and style you like, as well as what your maids will look and feel great in. Once you’ve narrowed that down, there are more detailed decisions to be made – how you’d like the girls to be accessorized!

Although there are so many different ways to style a bridal party, I’ve narrowed it down to five big categories – classic + elegant, trendy, mix + match, total glam, and understated. Below, I’m sharing some inspiration for how you can choose the jewelry for your bridesmaids, based on those categories.

First up, Classic + Elegant. If you’re more of a classic girl, your eye may be drawn to pearls. You can do that two ways: making a statement or keeping it a bit more understated. I love the look of a statement necklace that brings in modern trends but ties back to classic pearls, like your grandmother or mother may have worn on her big day!

Maybe you’re more into trends and a modern wedding day, which is so fun! To achieve an elegant and trendy look, you can opt for Ear Jackets that tie in pearls and crystals. If you want to include a necklace, one with on-trend marble accents is a great way to glam it up.

If you’ve opted to have all of your bridesmaids wear the same dress, but still want a little individuality peek out, consider mix and match jewelry! This is a really fun way to give your girls a chance to pick something out that they really love. Choose the finish – gold, silver or rose gold – and the general idea of the style (i.e. crystal, pearl, long, statement) that you like the best and let them do the rest. Plus, it can be one less thing on your to-do list!

When I think about this style, I’m only picturing the bride walking down the aisle in an old castle – sounds magical, doesn’t it? This style is perfect for the ultra-glam wedding day. Statement, statement, statement. Bold earrings, a luxe crystal necklace and coordination bracelet will put your maids’ accessory game over the top. Don’t worry, though, there’s no way they could upstage the lady in white! ;)

Maybe the dresses you’ve picked are all very different or embellished or you just prefer a more understated jewelry look. Don’t fear, you can still find beautiful jewelry that will look great! Mini cluster statement studs will add some elegance without standing out. A simple glass stone necklace would add a beautiful touch, too.
