MEET SHANNON

Shannon Gail is the owner of popular Chicago-based event planning firm, Shannon Gail Weddings and Events, and the force behind her growing brand, Shannon Gail Inc.  Shannon obtained a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and after a short stint at a downtown brokerage firm, decided she wanted to ditch the cubicle and become her own boss. Ten years later, Shannon Gail, Inc. is a team of 8 sought-after planners producing 80+ events per year locally, across the United States, and internationally.

Shannon has infused her life, financial background, and personal interests into the SG brand, now comprised of both wedding planning and corporate event production divisions, as well as an editorial-style lifestyle brand where weddings meet fashion, beauty, travel, cooking, and more. Her unique business model and approach to expansion has allowed the team to provide unrivaled client experiences and to evolve into the respected brand it is today.

With a continued passion for entrepreneurship,  the inner workings of small businesses, and the desire to give back, Shannon is frequently seen speaking to students at local universities and inspiring future business moguls, and was the 2016 Marketing Chair for the Chicago Chapter of national nonprofit Wish Upon a Wedding.

When she is not working on all things SG, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and two poodle rescues (#thepoods), cooking, all things fitness, traveling abroad, and sipping on red wine.

Bridget is a seasoned event production professional with a passion for city living, fresh flowers, photo booths, and brunch. Often seen toasting with a great glass of bubbly or toting her French Bulldog on various shopping and planning excursions, her years of experience in event design and venue management coupled with her broad industry network give her an invaluable wealth of knowledge and expertise in which to share with her clients.

Amanda is an incredibly organized and thorough individual who measures the success of her career by her many happy clients. As the veteran member of Team SG, she has spent over 8 years perfecting the planning process for couples, and refining her skills in the field. When she’s not working on timelines and to-do lists, you can find her dreaming of beach vacations and Christmas, being super Mom or participating in the occasional dance party.

Wearing many hats for Team SG, Breanna is the voice and style guru behind the company’s brand, blog, and website as well as an impeccably detailed and organized event planner. With a background in Marketing and a passion for perfection, Breanna offers her clients an unmatched level of attentiveness and support. She is constantly looking for inspiration and often finds it on the lakefront path downtown or browsing the latest trends at Nordstrom (bonus if it’s the Michigan Ave. location and comes with a glass of Prosecco!).

Growing up in the hospitality industry, Samantha has been honing her event planning skills since she was just a kid, holding countless roles with her family’s catering company and event venue. Her innate ability to think quickly and confidently problem solve on the spot allow her to defuse situations before they even arise.  She is best described as the SG Team Member with the most fabulous lip color and an iced coffee in hand (regardless of season!) Fun fact – she is also Shannon’s sister!

We think Lauren was born to be an event planner. We also think she was born smiling and hasn’t stopped yet! Lauren spent two full years as the Lead Assistant for Team SG, assisting as our right hand woman for countless events before being promoted to a Lead Planner. Her years of hands-on experiences allows her to provide clients with a truly impeccable experience. When she’s not being super woman, she loves to be outside enjoying a concert, patio dinners in the city, or summer barbecue!

Erin lives for the moment a couple sees one another for the first time. She also lives for Iced Chais, French Fries, and her sweet pup, Buckets. Maybe it’s the Iced Chais, but we are forever-envious of Erin’s energy on a wedding day. She is everywhere at once, seamlessly laying out the day for her couples and somehow still meeting them with their drink of choice right on cue. Erin is always going above and beyond for her clients and provides the absolute utmost of attention to every last detail.

Not to be confused with “Erin with one N,” “Erinn with two Ns” came to us by way of Lauren, so we were hardly shocked when she immediately became everyone’s Super Assistant. Not surprisingly so, Erinn was soon promoted and began taking her own clients, and although we still miss having such a force with us on a wedding day, we are thrilled to see her clients benefit from her talents! Aside from perfection, Erinn also enjoys travelling, E! News, no chip nail polish, strawberries, and Instagram!
