We were thrilled to have the honor of planning and executing Crate and Barrel’s Private Registry Event, as well as designing the full tablescape. Our main goal from the beginning was to showcase all of the amazing products available within Crate and Barrel’s inventory. We also strived to take it a step further and show all the engaged couples registering how easy it was to create their own unique tablescape with all the items they can easily add to their registry.

So when Crate and Barrel gives you carte blanche to their inventory, you would not believe how fast our virtual shopping cart filled up on their website! Keeping on trend and falling in love with all of the amazing rose gold and brass pieces within their inventory, we began to dream of a romantic, outdoor evening in the Tuscan countryside surrounded by the lush greens and gorgeous blush-sky evenings.

One of our favorite concepts is to create a balance between two design styles and mix the natural, earthy floral with glam elements featured within some of the dinnerware and flatware available at Crate and Barrel. The Basque Dining Table is the ultimate way to bring the two concepts together, as well as mixing the seating with the Basque Dining Chairs with their elegant high-backs and then on the other side, soften it a bit with the more intimate Basque Dining Bench. In lieu of a linen runner, we found a way to bring a little of that Tuscan landscape indoors with a simple and elegant eucalyptus garland runner accented with oversized café au lait dahlias, to bring in that stunning blush color against the bold green of the eucalyptus. Of course no true arrangement is complete without a collection of unique Denby Brass candle holders at varying heights and shapes to add additional texture to the tablescape.

Did we mention what a hard time we had narrowing down all the amazing dinnerware collections? So why not incorporate two different looks?! We were head-over-heels for the Savannah Gold Rim Dinnerware and by using that as a main base with a half of the chargers and the salad plates. We also brought in more modern elements with the Copper Plated Charger, the sleek Bennett Dinner Plates and the graphic Ito Dinner Plate. Incorporating different patterns, colors and textures can transform any table from ordinary to extraordinary with a few changes here and there! The Harper Rose Gold Flatware tied everything together along with the chic Camille Coupe and Wine Glasses (we admit during a few inspirational visits to Crate and Barrel stores, we couldn’t resist purchasing these beauties to add to our own home collection!)

We can’t repeat this phrase enough, It’s all in the details when it comes to any type of design. The biggest detail with any great table setting are the paper details such as place cards and menus, but our thought was, why do we have to use paper? We can’t say enough about the stunning dinnerware, so utilizing a clean, modern acrylic plexi square for the menu cards allowed the menu background to be the dinnerware. The Olivewood Cheese Board brought the Tuscan feel back to the setting and served as each place card, as well as functioning as a great individual way to serve guests bread or their own mini cheese and charcuterie plate! This also could be the most amazing take-away gift for your guests, ensuring they will continue to remember their amazing experience!

The finished product was a true representation of glam meets the Tuscan countryside. We also aimed to show couples that you can incorporate your everyday dinnerware, glassware and flatware to create a dreamy tablescape for any occasion. During the wedding planning process there are so many details and decisions to make and registering is right there at the top of the important decisions, but it is also one of the most fun wedding planning activities. So keep in mind the planning and details don’t need to stop after the wedding, utilizing the amazing Crate and Barrel products on your registry allows you to keep the celebrations continuing for many years. Time to start new traditions in your new adventures together, we are already dreaming of anniversary dinner parties with your new timeless Harper Rosegold Flatware and toasts in your new Camille Coupes!

Cheers and Happy Registering!

From Shannon… Paramount Events welcomed guests with coffee, mini doughnuts, and breakfast-inspired bites as they arrived at the store bright and early. Couples enjoyed a short introduction from the Crate and Barrel team before mingling throughout the store and experiencing all of the fun vendor stations and products! EJD Design created custom monogrammed watercolor crests on site, Pollen Floral did a live boutonniere demo, Bugbooth provided their vintage Photo Booth, producing portrait quality photos, Bella Bianca provided 2 gorgeous gowns on display, Jim Perona created the ambiance, filling the space with modern classics on guitar, Elysia Root Cakes had an interactive “paint your own cookie” display along with some gorgeous cakes and sweets, and the focal point was a gorgeous display table decked with Crate and Barrel product. (This was designed by Bridget with floral from Pollen and details by EJD). The event was captured by Slack Photography and Mirar Productions.  Our goal for the event was to really showcase Crate and Barrel product and provide a fun, interactive experience for couples.
