With the official start to summer happening in less than one week (eep!), we at SG think it’s time for our manicures to match the upcoming months of gorgeous weather. We’re talking bright, girly, fun colors that add the perfect pop to any summer outfit. And while we love a classic red or pretty pastel pink year-round, summer is the best time to experiment with different shades. Here are our top 5 colors that will be on rotation from now until it’s socially acceptable to go back to black manis in the fall! 1. Peach Daiquiri – essie ($6 – Amazon)
This is our perfect summer version of classic red. It still has that “classic” look, making it acceptable for all occasions, but there’s a little hint of pink/orange that makes this our dream summer color!
2. Tart Deco – essie ($6 – Amazon)
Tart Deco is the ultimate fun summer color. We recommend having a very clean manicure for this one, just because it’s so bright, but with some perfectly filed and buffed nails, this is probably the most fun color on the list!
3. Cascade Cool – essie ($6 – Amazon)
We stumbled upon Cascade Cool a few weeks ago and have since been obsessed. It’s very similar to a pastel pink, but it has a very creamy, dusty look to it and we LOVE it.
4. Bikini So Teeny – essie ($6 – Amazon)
Honestly, before we discovered essie’s Bikini So Teeny we were a little bit hesitant about blue manicures. But once we swept this pastel, shimmery blue across our nails we decided that it was definitely a must for summer.
5. Mod Square – essie ($4 – Amazon)
After deciding that we may be just a little bit too old for neon pink, we still wanted some pink in our lives. Essie’s Mod Square has been a summer manicure must since it made its debut a few years ago.
