From Shannon… We are so excited to share with you one of our very favorite weddings from this season! Rewind to warm, sunny, beautiful July. Kelly and John’s Wedding took place at the iconic Medinah Country Club in the suburbs of Chicago. Designing this wedding was an absolute treat, as Kelly and John wanted a classic and traditional country club affair, but with a few surprise twists to better suit their personalities! The couple exchanged their vows under a stunning tree on the green, complete with a bubbly bar, their adorable puppy Archie the Lab as ring bearer, and a bridal party selfie as they walked down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs.! We then moved to cocktails, where guests enjoyed put put golf and cigars on the veranda overlooking the course. StemLine, Creative went above and beyond (per usual) with the decor, bringing our vision to life and then some. The florals were stunning shades of white, ivory, and blush with unexpected pops of lavender (see the theme here?) Guests enjoyed a fabulous meal while the constant fun and nods to the vibrant couple continued with a surprise lip sync by the newlyweds themselves to Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and the entrance of a popular 80s/90s cover band, complete with mullets and ‘staches! This is truly one of those weddings that we are bittersweet about when it’s over! We are SO happy for our new friends, Mr. and Mrs. Nicol, but sad that the planning such a gorgeous and exciting day has come to an end!
