There is something about an outdoor ceremony that is just magical. Pair an outdoor ceremony with an outstanding view, and we are sold.  This is just one reason why we love the Adler Planetarium.

Lydia & Ben’s wedding took place on a gorgeous spring day and the details were too fab not share.  We’re passing the blog over to Samantha today to share the inspiration behind Lydia & Ben’s beautiful Adler Planetarium wedding!

From Samantha: I remember leaving my initial meeting with Lydia and thinking “this girl lights up a room.”  I knew then and there that her wedding needed to be something unique! A month or so later, I met her and Ben for a coffee.  Their chemistry was electric!  Their vision was clear: they wanted their wedding to be the most memorable that their guests had ever attended!  Many of their guests flew in from China, and the couple wanted to ensure that each and every guest was comfortable and blown away by the view- many of our traditions are different than those in China.

As guests arrived at the Adler Planetarium, they watched the ceremony – performed by Lydia’s best friend Jae, and then ascended to another outdoor terrace for cocktail hour.  When they came into Cafe Galileo’s, they were greeted by the most amazing blue sliced agate place cards with gold calligraphy.  MDM and Life in Bloom created the most ambient room – from the navy and blush paper lanterns to the clusters of flowers, candles, and gold urns, it was pure perfection.  The couple danced the night away with ear-to-ear smiles and enjoyed every second of their special day!  Today, I am so excited to share a glimpse into the planning process, the style guide, and the after product in the form of photos from Ann & Kam!
