10 ideas from a wedding planner’s wedding ✨ H 10 ideas from a wedding planner’s wedding ✨ Hi Everyone! As the brand manager and a wedding planner on the Shannon Gail Team, myself and the SG ladies helped plan my wedding this past season and we wanted to share some fresh concepts we added to the day with you! 1. Custom newspapers - these can be used for photo props or/also as wedding ceremony programs! 2. Matching sweats instead of PJ sets - if you are a bride who craves being cozy, this one’s for you! 3. Mismatching bridesmaids’ dresses - sticking within the same color scheme but venturing out and ordering from all different stores 4. Editorial bride & groom photos - kicking the classic shots and going for a more modern feel! This can create unique photos and also gives you some grace if you aren’t super comfortable being lovey dovey in front of the camera! 5. Street backdrop for your wedding party photos - keeping it fun and candid 6. Blurry everything - blurry, unfocused photos are just simply a must 7. Building out your day to not miss your cocktail hour as the bride & groom - planning a first look and all family/bridal party photos prior to the cocktail hour will allow you as the couple to enjoy every second of your day! 8. Mismatching glassware - there are no rules, be playful and don’t be afraid to mix and match colors/patterns on your place settings 9. Vintage wedding cake - ditching the classic cake cutting and diving right in with some forks! 10. Flash photography - by adding on some extra time with your photographer or sneaking away for a quick moment during dancing, you won’t regret it! 📸: @dehaanphoto
A new tradition on our team to kick off the giving A new tradition on our team to kick off the giving season is heading to Target for our Secret Santa shopping to donate to the Big Hearts of Fox Valley organization! @bigheartsoffoxvalley • This year our team “adopted” 6 children, which was our biggest group to date! This organization is so special as these individuals only gifts on Christmas will be the ones we were so lucky to purchase. We split into teams of 2-3 and each team shopped for one child, fulfilling everything on their list and then some! After the shopping was completed, everyone brought their donations to Big Hearts, who went through and got everything prepared into one large bag for each child. The gifts are then distributed to the parents for Christmas morning 🎄 Our owner Shannon was able this year to meet the entire team when dropping off the gifts and welcomed with open arms as she showed her daughters the magic of this organization!
