There’s something very different about 2015.  Brides and Grooms are focusing less on creating the Pinterest wedding of their dreams and more on creating an evening that communicates who they are as a couple.  It’s all about individuality and making guests feel like they are in the presence of the Bride & Groom, not a fantastically recreated Pinterest board.  And we absolutely love this.  From what a few of our own Brides are doing plus some of our own research, we’ve put together a few of 2015’s wedding trends that we cannot wait to see more of.

Shannon Gail 2015 Wedding Trends

1. Tasting Stations… A lot of couples are keeping guests entertained between the ceremony and dinner by having tasting stations at cocktail hour!  It’s a great way to sneak in their favorite foods (some couples do tacos, mac ‘n’ cheese bars, and even olive oil bars (pictured)) and surprise guests with something a little bit different from the usual wedding eats. (Image via Brides)

2. Remade First Dance Songs… Instead of dancing to Frank Sinatra or Nat King Cole, opt for more current versions of classic wedding songs.  (Maroon 5 has an amazing rendition of The Way You Look Tonight and Joss Stone sings L-O-V-E with a beautiful modern twist).  (Image by Lucy Davenport via Style Me Pretty)

3. Dress Trend: New Colors… It’s no secret that we love non-white wedding dresses, but this strapless tulle ball gown by Hayley Paige has 100% won us over! (Image via Brides)

4. Copper… While silver and gold are classic favorites, we will definitely be seeing more copper in decor this year.  Brides have been looking for more of a vintage vibe and we LOVE it.  (Image by Lisa O’Dwyer via Style Me Pretty)

5. Industrial… We recently did a wedding at Revolution Brewery and we hear that the industrial theme is not going anywhere!
